This is a 28 year old Springbank single malt from Campbeltown, released for the Springbank Society in a 20cl bottle at 48.2% ABV.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: ex-sherry hogshead, ex-sherry butt, ex-bourbon and ex-rum. The release is limited to 2966 bottles.
On the nose it shows ripe apricot with hints of red apple. The palate brings caramel and toasted almonds, and the finish is vanilla with a touch of sea salt.
