Squadron 303 Blend of Freedom (70cl, 44%)

Squadron 303 Blend of Freedom is a blended whisky bottled at 44% in a 70cl bottle, in a gift box. It combines a Scottish single malt, an English single malt, a French single malt, an Irish grain whiskey and an American bourbon. The blend is named after No. 303 Squadron of the Royal Air Force, made up of Polish pilots during the Second World War. They distilled craft vodka on their bases and shared it with comrades from other nations, who in return introduced them to Irish, Scottish and English whiskies. The idea for this first edition came from the Turnhouse base, a few kilometres from Edinburgh, where off-duty airmen visited local pubs and tasted the whiskies of the day.
