Aqua Perfecta Basil is an eau de vie from St. George in California, bottled at 40% abv. Master distiller Lance Winters created it after a perfect tomato season, with the idea of sipping it alongside beefsteak tomatoes. It draws on two basils: Genovese, which gives a rich body, and Thai, which adds bright aromatics. That pairing suits both sweet and savoury cocktails, and it also works with other produce from the garden, adding a fresh note.
