St. George Single Malt Whiskey Release 24 (75cl, 43%)

St. George Single Malt Whiskey Release 24 is an American single malt from St. George Spirits in Alameda, California, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It is a vatting of 25 casks, with whiskey matured for between 5.5 and 11.5 years. The malted barley includes roasted malts and beechwood- and alder-smoked malt, and the spirit was distilled in copper pot stills. The casks held ex-bourbon, apple brandy, rum, Torrontés, Tannat, Port and California Sauternes-style wine. The nose brings orange and pastry. On the palate come cocoa, brown butter and spice cake, followed by a long finish of toasted marshmallow and a wisp of smoke.
