St. George Spirits Aqua Perfecta Basil Eau de Vie

Aqua Perfecta Basil Eau de Vie is a grape brandy-based spirit from St. George Spirits, flavoured with two kinds of fresh basil. Genovese basil gives it a buttery, green base, while Thai basil adds bright, spicy top notes. Both herbs go straight into the pot of the copper stills, which brings out concentrated licorice, fresh fennel and sweet grassy notes. The unaged grape brandy adds a creamy body and a fruit-forward mid-palate. The nose opens with bright anise, then moves to classic Italian basil freshness. On the palate, warm menthol gives way to rich vegetal flavours, and it finishes with a light sweetness.
