A Merlot Cabernet Riserva Fallwind Alto Adige DOC from St. Michael Eppan, with a concentrated and sober olfactory profile. It is deep ruby in colour, with red and black berry fruit, ripe plum and cherry, plus hints of sweet spices and light earthy notes. On the palate the tannic texture is well defined but not sharp, acidity is balanced and the overall impression is compact and substantial. It pairs naturally with red meats, roasts, braises, aged cheeses, mushroom dishes and game. Serve around 16-18 C; brief decanting may help the aromas open.
