Stagg Barrel Proof is a Kentucky bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled uncut and unfiltered after nearly a decade of ageing. It takes its name from George T. Stagg, who built the most dominant American distillery of the 19th century, during what is known as the Gilded Age of Bourbon.
The palate is rich and sweet, with chocolate and brown sugar balanced by bold rye spiciness. The finish is long, with hints of cherries, cloves and smokiness.
