Carl T. Huber's Peach Whiskey is a flavoured whiskey from Huber's Starlight Distillery in southern Indiana, bottled at 42% in a 75cl bottle. The base is a pot-still whiskey made from 99% corn and 1% malted barley, aged up to 18 months in barrels previously used for other Starlight whiskeys.
It is blended with cold-pressed juice from peaches grown on the family's own farm, which has been worked since 1843.
The nose offers lemon zest, dried apricot and peach gummies, with a hint of pine resin and brown sugar. Ripe peach and tangerine lead the palate, alongside vanilla, caramel and cinnamon. The finish is medium, with vanilla, stone fruit and toasted grain.
