This is a cask-strength Australian single malt from Starward Distillery in Melbourne, distilled in 2018 and bottled in June 2023 at 52% ABV in a 700ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky was matured in red wine and apera barrels, then finished for 18 months in ex-bourbon barrels that had held Brick Lane Brewing's Trilogy of Fear imperial stout series. It is part of the Starward Projects series, and 3,500 bottles were released.
The nose shows tropical fruit, vanilla and chocolate-covered cookies. The palate has banana ice cream, ripe plum and cacao, and the finish is malty chocolate.
