Starward – Stout Cask Single Malt (70cl, 52%)

Starward Stout Cask is an Australian single malt distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2023 at 52% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release of 3,500 bottles in total, and it is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. The whisky first matured in red wine casks, then spent a further 18 months in stout casks that had held a beer from the Brick Lane brewery in Melbourne. Apera casks are also part of its make-up. It is described as tasting of cocoa, stone fruit, roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla.
