Starward – Two-Fold Double Grain Australian Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Two-Fold is a double grain whisky from Starward, distilled in Melbourne from Australian wheat and malted barley. It is bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. The two grains are matured separately and then married, entirely in Australian red wine barrels. The malted barley brings depth, while the wheat adds an aromatic, dry note. Starward was founded in Melbourne in 2007 by David Vitale. The tasting notes describe a burnt-amber colour with a strong red hue. The nose is a lush fruit bowl with toffee and warm vanilla, and the rich palate has bright tropical fruit from the wine and lightly toasted oak. The finish is delicate, dry and wine-like.
