Stauning Rye is a Danish rye whisky from Jutland, made mainly from rye and matured in oak casks. The casks give a rounded body with toasted and vanilla notes, while the freshness of the grain stays in the glass. The spirit has a firm, aromatic character, with sweet spice, black pepper and herbal tones. The nose shows candied citrus, oriental spices and a little smoke, and the finish is long and pleasantly peppery.
