Stellum Black 'Equinox Blend #1' Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 58.6%)

This is a cask-strength blend of straight bourbons distilled in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee, bottled at 58.63% in a 75cl bottle. It comes from Barrell Craft Spirits, in the Stellum Black tier, where reserve barrels are added in small batches to the base Stellum blend. It is bottled unfiltered, and 8,400 bottles were produced. Equinox Blend #1 is the first of its name, completed on the evening of the Vernal Equinox in spring 2022. The nose offers dark cherry, brown butter, leather, toasted oak and clove. The palate is rich and chewy with caramel, baking spice and dried fig, and the finish is long and warming with vanilla bean and oak.
