Stellum Cask Strength Rye Black

Stellum Rye Black is a cask strength American rye from Stellum Spirits, the brand from the team behind Barrell Craft Spirits. It builds on the original Stellum Rye, which uses a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley from Indiana. Older reserve barrels are layered into the blend to add depth. The colour is marigold and honey. On the nose there is ripe blueberry, green Jolly Rancher, toasted almonds, dark brown sugar and a hint of newspaper print. The palate is rich and buttery, with chocolate mint, star anise and sesame, then dill and cracked black pepper. The finish is long, warming and well-rounded.
