Stellum Rye

Stellum Rye is an American rye whiskey from Stellum Spirits, part of Barrell Craft Spirits. It is built on a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley distilled in Indiana. That base is blended with rye whiskeys containing more barley, along with selected barrels from Kentucky and Tennessee. It is bottled at cask strength, with a round mouthfeel and a touch of buttery sweetness. The nose has stewed apple, ripe peach, pear, clove and nutmeg, with mint and liquorice. The palate opens with aniseed, cardamom and coriander, then lemon peel, tangerine, green apple and spearmint. The finish is star anise, white pepper and mint, ending in honeyed jasmine green tea.
