Stranahan's Blue Peak is an American single malt from Colorado, double distilled at high altitude and matured for four years in new American oak barrels. A Solera maturation process completes it, and it comes in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The nose has dried apricot, nutmeg, cinnamon toast, and hints of leather and light tobacco. The palate is creamy butterscotch and brown sugar, with baked apples, cayenne and toasted oak. The finish is rich and mellow, as earthy malt fades into lingering spice.
