This is an eleven-year-old American single malt whiskey from Stranahan's, released in limited numbers. It is bottled in bond at 100 proof, or 50% ABV, and is described as having a Rocky Mountain character.
The age brings added oak maturity to the malted barley, and the whiskey is full-bodied.
The nose offers malted barley, caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, honey, dried fruit and baking spice. On the palate it is rich, with sweet malt, vanilla bean, oak spice, cocoa and dried orchard fruit. The finish is long and warming, with malt, oak, caramel and a hint of dark chocolate.
