Stranahan's – Colorado Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey is an American single malt distilled entirely from malted barley in Denver, Colorado, and bottled at 47% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a blend of whiskeys aged six, seven, eight and nine years in new charred oak at altitude in the Rocky Mountains. The spirit is double-distilled in copper pot stills from four barley varieties grown in the Colorado region, with water from Eldorado Spring near Boulder. Each bottle is hand-filled and signed by the distiller. The nose brings butterscotch, caramel, vanilla and maple syrup, with a thread of worn leather. The palate moves from cinnamon-butter and caramel to dark chocolate, spiced pear and raspberry. The finish is long, with chocolate, dried fruit, cinnamon and oak tannins.
