This is a 5 year old single malt from Strathearn, a small craft distillery in the Highlands, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range at 48.4% ABV. It is a 2015 vintage, limited to 64 bottles, and is the distillery's first official single cask release. The whisky matured in a small cask that previously held Port wine. It is bottled without colouring or chill-filtration. Douglas Laing's family acquired the distillery in 2019. The nose is soft and mellow, moving to lively fruit and woody spices on the palate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
