This is Batch No. 2 from Strathearn, a Highland single malt bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery is on the outskirts of Perth and uses Maris Otter malt.
The whisky is triple cask matured, in bourbon, virgin oak and sherry casks.
It shows fresh bread, pumpkin seeds, damp earth and a little ginger on the nose, with a touch of lavender. The palate brings lavender sweetness, a range of cereals and slightly peppery oak, and the finish is fairly long with a pumpernickel note.
