Strathearn Inaugural Release is a Highland single malt released in 2024, the first Strathearn single malt launched under Douglas Laing ownership. It is bottled at 50%, with natural colour and without chill filtration. It was assembled from just 32 casks of ex-bourbon, virgin oak and ex-sherry oak. Strathearn uses Maris Otter malted barley, which contributes to its creamy, malty character. The nose offers malted barley, soft caramel, porridge oats and spiced orchard fruit. The palate is mouth-coating and syrupy, with honey, buttercream, orange and dried apricot, and the long finish brings oat biscuits, dark chocolate, pepper and oak spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
