This is the second release of Strathearn single malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was made with ex-Bourbon, Virgin Oak and ex-Sherry Oak casks, with the Virgin Oak influence reduced for more creaminess, freshness and balance.
The nose is rich and sweet, with Sherry influence, orange zest, malted barley and honey. The palate is full bodied, with dark fruits, spices, toffee and caramel. The finish is long and buttery, with oak, ginger and toasted nuts.
