Strathearn – Single Malt Inaugural Release (70cl)

Strathearn Inaugural Release is an unpeated Highland single malt from Perthshire, released in 2024 as the first official bottling from the distillery. It comes in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring or chill filtration. Strathearn is a farm distillery, described as one of the smallest in Scotland. It uses Maris Otter barley, ferments for up to 144 hours and distils in very small copper stills. The nose is rich and malty, with maple syrup, heather honey, dried apricot, warm spice from new wood and a light leather note from sherry. The palate is dense and oily, with malted barley, vanilla cream, butter and shortbread. The finish is warm and of medium length.
