This is a 12-year-old Strathmill single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48%. It belongs to the Ever Curious range, put together by the team behind Fruitful Spirits and focused on flavour-forward whiskies.
The whisky was aged in oloroso sherry and tawny Port casks, which bring berry, plum and fig character. A soft nuttiness runs underneath, and the texture is smooth and generous.
The nose offers red berries, dates and nutmeg. On the palate come fig, raspberry and plum, and the finish brings raisin, cocoa and oak spice.
