This is a 17 year old Strathmill bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Malt Cask series. It was distilled in October 1992 and bottled in January 2010, from a refill hogshead that yielded 298 bottles.
The nose is spicy, with vanilla tablet, dry herbs, sweet tobacco and cocoa butter. The palate is round and full-flavoured, still spicy and sweet, with a caramelised brulee character. The finish is medium long, with spice, sweetness and lingering fruit bitters.
