This is an Irish single malt from Suir Peated Malt, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2000 after eight years in cask. It was made with heavily peated malt and matured in a first-fill ex-Bourbon cask, number 3946, and it is bottled by Adelphi Limerick at 60.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is orange-gold. The nose is dry peat and fresh cow-pats, moving towards a milking byre. With water it turns to carbolic soap, coal tar, new rubber and wet leather. The palate is very smooth and very sweet, and the finish is smoky, with some soapiness and lingering carbolic.
