Suntory Toki Japanese Whisky (75cl, 43%)

This is a blended Japanese whisky from the House of Suntory, with no age statement. It combines malt whiskies from Hakushu and Yamazaki with grain whisky from Chita, and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Hakushu malt aged in American white oak and Chita's heavy-type grain whisky are the two main parts of the blend, with Yamazaki malts matured in American and Spanish oak added to finish it. The name Toki is the Japanese word for time. The nose is basil, green apple and honey. Grapefruit, green grape, peppermint and thyme appear on the palate over a gentle, spicy sweetness, and the finish brings vanilla oak, white pepper and ginger.
