A Japanese single malt aged for twelve years, from Yamazaki, the distillery founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii in Osaka Prefecture. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky is matured in three kinds of cask: American oak, Spanish sherry and Japanese Mizunara oak. It was named Supreme Champion Spirit at the 2024 International Spirits Challenge.
The nose brings peach, pineapple, grapefruit, candied orange and vanilla, with clove and a touch of sandalwood. The palate is soft and fruity, with vanilla, baking spice, toasted oak, cherry blossom and sweet almond. The finish is long, with delicate spice, dried fruit and sandalwood.
