A 25 year old single malt from Yamazaki, the Suntory distillery on the outskirts of Kyoto, in a 750ml bottle. It is selected from whiskies matured for 25 years or longer, with Spanish oak casks shaping its character.
The style is full-bodied and complex, with a smooth finish. The nose is fragrant and sweet, with incense and plum. A smoky first sip of sandalwood opens into persimmon, ginger and spice, and the finish is long, with subtly sweet wood and smokiness lingering.
