Sweetens Cove 22 is a blend of straight bourbons from Tennessee, bottled at 57% (114 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is finished in Speyside Scotch casks.
The blend brings together four Tennessee expressions aged 10, 8, 6 and 5 years, put together by master blender Marianne Eaves. It nods to the journey of whiskey, and of golf, from Scotland to Sweetens Cove in the Tennessee River Valley.
The nose is warm oak, leather, sweet red fruit, raisin, clove and orange peel. The palate brings autumn spices, toast, baked apple and chewy charred oak, leading to a finish of warm oak resin with vanilla bean and ripe fruit.
