A Staoisha single malt from Bunnahabhain on Islay, bottled by Swell De Spirits in its That's The Spirit range. It was distilled in October 2013 and bottled in September 2023 from a single first fill bourbon barrel, giving 342 bottles at a cask strength of 55.4%. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, in a 50cl bottle.
Neat, the nose is bonfire smoke, petrol and rubber boots, with blueberries and raspberry jam. The palate is smoky, with capers, smoked herring, peanut butter and dark chocolate, and the finish brings vanilla latte. Water draws out jam sandwiches and peach Melba.
