Takamine – Koji Japanese Whiskey 8 Year Old (75cl)

Takamine Koji is an eight-year-old Japanese whiskey in a 75cl bottle. It is made by the patented Takamine Process, which uses koji, a traditional Japanese mould, to turn starch into sugar in a way similar to malting barley. The koji and the yeast work at the same time in a multiple parallel fermentation, rather than the yeast being added after a warm water mash. This 100% barley ferment is double distilled, then aged in virgin oak and ex-Bourbon casks, which give the whiskey its natural golden colour.
