Talisker 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Talisker distillery on Skye, in a 70cl bottle. The island's whiskies are classed today as Highland, and this ten-year-old is part of Diageo's Classic Malts range.
The colour is old gold. The nose opens with strong sea, iodine and salt notes before peat smoke, black pepper and a hint of honey come through. The palate is soft in texture yet slightly sharp at the aromatic peaks, with a mild early sweetness giving way to pronounced saltiness and spice that carries into a persistent finish.
