A 10-year-old single malt Scotch from Talisker on the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines powerful peat smoke with a hint of sea salt, like fresh oysters, and a citrus sweetness. The palate brings dried-fruit sweetness, clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense, with pepper at the back of the mouth. The finish is long and warming, peppery, with an appetising sweetness.
