Talisker 10 Year is a peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
Talisker has made whisky at Carbost, on the shores of Loch Harport, since 1830, and it is the only distillery on the island. The spirit is double distilled in five pot stills, and the barley is peated to roughly 18 to 22 ppm.
The nose combines wood smoke, sea spray and citrus peel over warm toffee. The palate is smoky and salty with caramel and dried fruit, and the finish is long and peppery, fading into sweet smoke and seaweed.
