A 12 year old Talisker single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled in the 1970s at 43% ABV in a 75.7cl bottle. The label describes it as an unblended single malt, bottled in Scotland for The Distillers Agency Ltd. of Edinburgh, a company set up by Distillers Company Ltd. to bottle and export its brands, Talisker among them. Talisker was founded in 1830 by the brothers Hugh and Kenneth Macaskill, on a lease of Talisker House from the chief of Clan MacLeod. A fire destroyed the distillery in 1960, and the stills were replaced with exact replicas of the originals.
