A 12 year old single malt from Talisker on the Isle of Skye, bottled in the 1970s at 43% ABV in a one litre bottle. The label calls it the Golden Spirit of the Isle of Skye and shows that it was bottled in Scotland for The Distillers Agency Ltd. of Edinburgh, which Distillers Company Ltd. set up to bottle and export its brands. Talisker was founded in 1830 by the brothers Hugh and Kenneth Macaskill, who leased Talisker House from the chief of Clan MacLeod. The distillery was destroyed by fire in 1960 and its stills were replaced with exact replicas of the originals.
