Talisker 15 Years is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, released in 2019 as part of the Diageo Special Releases. It is bottled at a batch strength of 57.3% in a 70cl bottle, without added colour or chill-filtering.
The whisky spent 15 years in freshly charred American hogsheads.
The nose is maritime and smoky, with salt, seaweed, honey and dry peat smoke. The palate is powerful and full, opening with sweet smoke before chilli, white pepper, salt and seagrass follow. The finish is long and well balanced, with spicy oak and smoke.
