This is a 25 year old single malt from Talisker, the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, in a 75cl bottle at 45.8% ABV. It is an annual release.
The whisky spent a minimum of 25 years in refill American and European oak casks, made from peated malted barley. The distillery was founded in 1830.
The nose brings sea salt, bonfire smoke and peppered citrus, with dried fruit, honey and polished oak beneath. On the palate come peated malt, dark chocolate and a salty sea-spray note, and the finish is long, with sweet smoke and warming oak spice.
