This is a 25 year old Talisker from Skye, bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It pairs citrus and honey sweetness with the distillery's coastal salinity.
The nose is delicate and rich, with light citrus, charred wood, cucumber peel, salted caramel, soft fudge, nutmeg and pine. On the palate come tangy fruits, toasted oak spice, candied orange, a little lemon, heather and honey, then earthy wood, charred pineapple, some peat and coastal flavours.
