Talisker – 8 Year Old 2024 Special Release (20cl, 56.9%)

Talisker 8 Year Old is a 2024 Special Release single malt from the Isle of Skye, in a 20cl bottle at 56.9%. The distillery was founded in 1830. Its character comes from peat-fired kilns, slow distillation and maturation in warehouses by the sea. Cask selection for this release was aimed at bringing out citrus and smoke. The nose is sea spray, smoked oak and bright citrus peel. The palate is fiery and maritime, with chilli heat, sweet malt, salted caramel and grilled lemon. The finish is long and smoky, with pepper, salt and ember warmth.
