This is Talisker 8 Year Old, a single malt Scotch whisky from Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 75cl bottle and dating from the 1980s. Talisker was founded in 1830 by the brothers Hugh and Kenneth Macaskill, who held a lease on Talisker House from the chief of Clan MacLeod. A fire destroyed the distillery in 1960, and the stills were replaced with exact copies of the originals.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
