Talisker 8 Year Old is the 2020 Special Release, bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.9% in a 70cl bottle. It was aged in ex-pot still Caribbean rum casks, a first for the distillery.
Smoke, molasses and stewed tropical fruits show on the nose, with the distillery's peppery spice and meatiness running through the whisky. The palate follows the nose and leads to a feisty, spicy finish.
