Talisker 8 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, released in 2021 as part of Diageo's Special Releases collection, Legends Untold. It was matured for eight years in heavily peated refill casks and is bottled at 59.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The label shows a sea monster, in keeping with the series' theme of distillery stories and folklore.
The nose brings coastal smoke, sea spray, bright fruit and warming spice. On the palate there is peaty punch with peppery heat, juicy fruit and a bold, oily texture. The finish is long, smoky and warming, with lingering coastal character.
