Talisker 8 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye, dating from the 1970s. It comes in a 75.5cl bottle at 40% ABV, with its original carton, which shows some weathering.
The nose combines ripe pear, orchard apple and dried apricot with cinnamon, clove and subtle oak. On the palate come malted barley, honeyed vanilla, nutmeg and dark chocolate, with a silky texture. The finish is medium to long and warming, with toasted almonds and a faint echo of smoke.
