This is a 9 year old Talisker that was filled by hand at the distillery. It was matured in rejuvenated red wine casks and is bottled at a cask strength of 59.8%. The red wine casks have a clear influence on the whisky. Tasting notes describe maritime and red fruit aromas, followed by grape, red berry, peat, spice and earthy flavours. The finish is long and fruity, with spice and a good deal of smokiness.
