A no-age-statement single malt from Talisker on the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 750ml bottle. It is a marriage of malts aged between roughly 3 and 25 years, drawn from refill casks and rejuvenated casks, which are older barrels that have been de-charred and re-charred.
The nose offers campfire smoke, brine, honey, vanilla and black pepper. The palate starts sweet, with salted caramel and red berries, before peat smoke, cracked pepper, cloves and cranberry arrive. The finish is long and warming, with walnut, espresso, fruity peat smoke and sea salt.
