Talisker – Storm (70cl)

Talisker Storm is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, named after the stormy sea around the island. It is a young, intense whisky in which the peaty, briny character is not softened by wood, so it comes across sharper and more pungent. It comes in a 70cl bottle. On the nose there is strong smoke and brine, then ripe fruit and citrus, white pepper, maple syrup and a hint of copal. The palate is full and rich in smoke, with iodine and salt notes, and the finish is slightly peppery.
