Talisker Storm is a single malt from the Talisker distillery at Carbost on the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 75cl bottle. It carries no age statement and was first released in 2013.
The whisky combines mature Talisker enriched in rejuvenated casks with fresher spirit from refill casks, aiming for a deeper, smokier take on the distillery's peppery character.
The nose is fresh and powerful, with sweet malt, red berries, brine and wood embers. On the palate it is rich and sweet with nutty smoke, cranberries, black currants and a burst of spice. The finish is dry and medium in length, with soft peaty embers.
