Talisker The Wild Explorador is a 2023 Special Release single malt from the Islands, bottled at natural cask strength. It takes its inspiration from the Portuguese explorers who crossed the oceans in their caravels.
The whisky matures in a combination of casks that previously held Ruby, White and Tawny Port.
The nose brings sea salt and oyster shell, followed by spice and dried fruit. The palate is creamy, smoky and fruity, with mainly peaty and salty notes. The finish is long and spicy, led by Sichuan pepper.
